It's always nice to see what Stanley's up to. It is astonishing how quickly they adapt to living in a home, I think they must watch training videos at the kennels!

Where has the last year gone? Stan the Man's video is fantastic, it's amazing how he has adapted to home life - from racing to kennels to a wonderful new life in Sweden. Well done to you and Stanley and here's to many more happy years.

It is so nice to see Stanley so happy, well done for taking him to Denmark, he clearly loves it there, and how nice to have a garden right near the beach for him, and you.
My husband and I took Ollie home nearly a year now. His racing name was Pickapocketortwo. Like you, with Stanley we love him to bits. he is totally settled now and we adore him so much. He too is a black dog with some white bits, and a gorgeous little thing. I say to him some days "The day we took you from the kennels we got a cheeky monkey, not a doggy", that is when he is being mischievious, but we like him that way!
I shall put some updated photos on the forum soon and we have a video of Ollie running, it's nice to see him so free.
Well done again with Stanley, and yes he is a gorgeous pooch!
From Jo and Ollie xxxx I think his racing name should have been "PICKASLIPPERORTWO"!

Thank you Patshep & Jofisher Well, maybe Stanley's name should have been "PICKAFLIPFLOPORTEN". Quite a few molested Flip Flops in this house. It only takes one bite to kill a Flop Flop Yes, let us see some Photos of Ollie Stanley has had a real adventurous summer holliday this summer. I can write a looong story about that. He was on a desert island north of Stockholm for two weeks roaming FREE with 3 other dogs and their owners. THE DOGS HAD A WONDERFUL TIME!!!!!!!! Take care

Hi everyone following my matte (or mum) and her notes here - this is a note from Stanley (I'm getting help to type this...):
I miss matte (Swedish nick name for dog mum) sooooo much! But, I'm having a great time with my buddy Bailey here in Lyngby, Denmark. We are playing a lot, as I'm staying with mum's best friend Else until she gets ready to go for walks with me again. I think that I will come home again as soon as mum is back from the main rehab. I visited her at the hospital and it was great to lick her and smile to her, even as she sat in her sports model wheelchair at the time - and the hospital is not a place for me, with all the people around and what not. I know that my mum will walk with me soon again, even as the first few times may only be for short distances. Husse (dog dad's nick name in Swedish) will certainly walk with me too, but he has been soooo busy lately with everything going on that I thought it was better to hang out with my friend Bailey!
Just know that I am doing great and that mum, Charlotte, will be back writing stories about me soon again! I even sent her a postcard today with a big print of my paw on it - can't write very well.... as I know she really likes to get them where she is right now in rehab. You can find out more about what happened to my mum if you go to Pat's post under the Stop the Press section.
Big woof from me to all other greyhounds! It is awesome in Scandinavia, particularly as I'm kind of a rare dog here and everyone wants to play with me.
Warmly,
Stanley

Dearest Pat and all other followers of Stanley and his mummy Charlotte, We trust that this note finds you well! Wishing you and your families and all the greyhounds a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Charlotte and I are both deeply grateful for all your love and support extended through the cards and, from Pat, the mini Stanley which was by her bed at the hospital. Our brave Charlotte was released from the hospital on the 17th of December and has since gotten used to her life at home again with both Stanley and I. She is very happy, upbeat and we are out doing walk training every day. As we have a house with two levels, she gets a lot of exercise going up and down several times per day – under supervision but without help. Charlotte can walk on her own legs without support; and is walking about 90% back to normal form with the help of her walker. We are doing sets every day on the street outside, which also requires a long stair climb to get there. A physio therapist is showing up every morning at 9 am, (also on Christmas Eve, BTW), to do various strength and balance exercises. On January 13th, Charlotte will go back for day rehab at the hospital – which is 3 half days/week with very intensive training. She needs to get better strength and motion in her right leg and foot, but it is only a matter of weeks before she can take her own normal walk, in both good definition and form. Charlotte is now also a master at building very complicated Lego barns, and wrapping Xmas presents and what not. Lots of Love from us all here in southern Sweden! The attached picture is from outside today, with Charlotte, Stanley and her son Marcus.Warm regards, Charlotte, Kjell and Stanley
