What a handsome boy. Is the teeth clicking ' nittering', ......teeth chattering together very quickly? Our dog Ben does this when he is very happy, it's one of those strange greyhound habits. Have you had any 'roaching' yet? Very dignified greyhound habit of lying on back with legs akimbo! He looks very happy with you.

Hi Gail, YES that's what he is doing; clapping his teeth. Good to hear that it is a sign of happiness. No, we have not seen any roaching, yet...though the other night we had a first few barks, to our big surprise. Hope he will "roach" soon He is quite a sensitive boy, but slowly slowly getting more confident every day. He has not been sure that all these walks is a good thing, but it seems like he is now starting to like it. Quiet early morning walks is the best!

Stanley you sound adorable. Cass teeth chatters and I do it back to her, this can carry on for a little while, it's like we're having a natter but she always gets the last word in. When we are having a cuddle she sometimes makes a soft purring/ gurgling noise. On the day that he was nervous were there any storms about, not neccessarily overhead or gunshot or something similar, Cass gets nervous then. Grin at him and see if you get a response. Welcome to the world of the greyhound slave, I know my place.

Cass sound like a dog with real personality:) I understand that Greyhounds are a bit different from other dogs. No, no storms to upset him yet. However, I think we have been spoiling him a bit too much with his food. As we wanted him to put on a bit of weight, we have put pieces of chicken or fish and rice in his dog food and guess what happened now.......Yes, you are right, he picks out the "good" stuff and leave the rest or even spits out the dog food if it per chance comes in to his excellency's mouth:) I guess I have to try hard to toughen up a bit and try to explain that he MUST eat his dog food as well.....Well, now I can at least write a new Greyhound book called: "How to spoil a dog in a week"......Hmmm, I do worry that Stanley is smarter than us:) He has already arranged at pretty good life for himself - with great ease.
PS. I will make sure to chatter back to Stanley next time he does it. Can't wait to see his reaction to that!

It was a bit cold today, when I Stanley (by the way the most wonderful dog in Denmark) was resting (again) at my mothers feet, while she was working.

By the way, I got my first ICE-CREAM this afternoon, SOFT-ICE NOT BAD, after the first try. However, after (a very small!) Soft-Ice I felt like this:
