Hi Pat, We have had an absolutely wonderful Christmas, with just lovely weather and Stanley has met the extended family. Stanley is overjoyed when we have visitors and he has been spoiled A LOT! Everyone is so impressed by his calm and soft nature. He takes everything so well. Today, I think he is a bit mentally tired after Christmas and a two hour walk on the beach with family. Now he sleeeeps....with his toy cow. Hope you have had a great Christmas and HAPPY NEW YEAR to you and all the dogs?

Stanley and "Matte" (swedish expression which means the human mother of a dog) in their evening nap position, that they try to get into whenever possible. NOT bad!

PS. Stanley has had some VERY loose stools lately off and on and we have tried with the 24 hour no food and after that rice and chicken cure and then after that normal food, but we are now getting a bit concerned. We have changed his food a few weeks ago and there has been a bit of Christmas/change of furniture stress, but anyway. Does anyone have any good suggestions? Maybe a worm cure and some yoghurt or is it straight to the Vet?

Hi Charlotte I could imaging that the change of food and all the Xmas treats upset his tummy . Greys seem to have sensitive stomachs.I all ways give my dogs probiotics for dogs it regulates there flora again . How much protein has your new bisquit? Hope I could help you but if you worry about him or he is not himself take him to the vets. All the best xxx

Dear Chantal, Stanley is doing great! It seems that we have found a type of low protein food that really agrees with him. His stomach has never been better, so thats a relief. We can even add a little bit of minced meat and rice for taste, so he is very pleased about his new menu. Pat was as always so kind and helpful and calmed us down and gave good advise. Hope all is well with you? Take care. Love Charlotte

Stanley is real funny and busy these days! He is with great determination training us every single day and if we do not obey during the timeframe that he has set, we are being REMINDED! Gently, but firmly! Stanley has found out that he has RIGHTS! His rights are to be taken out for his walks (4 a day. Two long and two short) at very specific times. If we are a bit late (maybe a phoneconversation with a customer), Stanley walks briskly into my office and starts barking. Time to put down the stupid phone and take him out! Sooner or later he wiil have me trained not to start phoning close to his walks:) The same goes for his food. His meals must be first of all good and absolutely served at the right time. Otherwise, he will bark until we get it. He has probably tried for a long time to tell us gently, but as we obviously are not very smart people, he has been forced to get a bit tougher with us. NOW we get it!! The other day I had a customer meeting and Stanley joined in and was so thrilled by the visit that he wanted to show my customer how he can make his toy-cow scream. He got our attention and the cow was put in the stable for a while. So as you can tell, Stanley has personality, and we are amused by new little stunts he comes up with. Just now he burried his cow under a cover in the sofa and went to sleep....So sooner or later, we will be top trained and he will be real pleased with us:)

We have now had Stanley for long enough to get to know him better and I can confirm that a BETTER, kinder and more wonderful dog can not exist. He just doesn't do anything wrong, it's quite strange that a dog that has not been in a home before can be so well behaved! REALLY - he is just an amazing dog. We enjoy his company EVERY day and he just loves all people and dogs too. Pat, you made a perfect MATCH. I sometimes wonder how you could know......THANK YOU sooo much! Stanley loves his walks and we meet many (groups of 5-7) rabbits every morning and from time to time a few deer. Stanley looks curiously and very interested, but doesn't pull the lead. Very strange - and nice...
