Millie came home with me today ! I am so excited as she has already settled in so well. She is so grateful to be back in the warmth of a house. She has had two large meals today, and knows where the cook house is. She has so far been the most perfect dog, and is so different already, to the one that was returned to the kennels. She is very outgoing, and waggy, and knows where she wants to be, and I am so grateful to Pat for allowing me to try her. I feel very priveleged to own such a loveing and pretty girl. I hope together with Ruby, she can be a good ambassador for greyhoundhomer. Will try to put some photos up. ;D Forgot to say we are going to try to change her name to Grace.

Thanks Alison. She's actually my next Birthday present from Alan, but I can see he absolutely loves her to bits. Its nice to see her so happy again. She has been through so much. It was also wonderful to be takeing her at the same time that Jo and her lovely family took Fawn to his new home. And I see that Lady has also gone today. Whoo Hoo ! Numbers are rising quickly. Gotta get the last oldies to a home now.

glad she has settled in so well with all the others, she is a very friendly girl and will be very well loved by you both, when she was tried with katies family they loved her to bits but she just would not leave their poor cat alone she drove it mad. Have lots of fun and see you sunday.

Beautiful. A lucky little girl, and i'm sure she'll appreciate the rest of her life and retirement, and here's to a long one. Millie is a lovely name, but i also love Grace too.
Well done to you all, and all the best xx

Thanks for the interest and the comments folks. The large fawn dog I have is a GSD cross in my mind, but when he came to me he was described as a whippet lurcher. No way. He's very ederly now, and has a bit of arthritis, but very gentle dog. Re- Millie (Grace) - I feel sad for Katies family that it did not work with the cat. I can see Grace has been well loved, as she is so loveing and outgoing herself. I think she was just so cold at kennels and it was a shock to her system. Hopefully she will continue to settle well. She has got a very good appetite I am pleased to say. Will post more photos soon. xx

Hi Hazel Who's a lucky girl? (whoops, I should say girls). What a lovely present, I'm envious. Grace looks so dejected in the first photo , but what a difference now she is at home with her new family . Here's to lots of happy times. PatS
