Fawn dog seen in Hutton

Around 3pm today, I saw a fawn dog running loose across the Hutton Poplars development, through Poplar's Hall car park and into the woods behind Woodland Avenue. I went after it, but obviously a chunky middle-aged woman doesn't stand much chance of catching a liberated hound! Just wondering if anyone can update the situation regarding this dog? It looked very much like the bitch owned by a local elderly resident who uses a mobility scooter -- if this is the case, then she was headed in the direction of home and, I hope, got there in one piece.
