April 2020 Update
Welcome to our update for April where you can find out what we have been up to during the last couple of months.
Has anyone else got the feeling you have woken up in the middle of a Monty Python sketch, and not a funny one at that! The current situation seems a little surreal.
March saw 13 of our dogs depart for their new homes. Many were reserved to go home over the Easter holiday which as it turns out came early and so did their homing date. A number of hounds were sent to foster homes to relive pressure on the kennel staff amongst other considerations. Indications are some of these will turn into failed fosters and we may not see them back. We do love a good failed foster.
Give the current situation remarkably we have homed 9 hounds during the month of April. Some of these are failed fosters (see above). One was 9 year old Jay after his owner sadly passed away. Many thanks to his new owner for taking him in as he deserves a second chance.
All our normal fundraising activities such as shows and meet and greets are currently on hold for the foreseeable future. Along with many charities our ability to raise funds is severely curtailed. We have successfully held an online quiz and as it was well received will do another in a few weeks time. Any fundraising suggestions gratefully received.
Our kennels are currently closed. Please call us on 07852 734958 if you have any queries and we can advise on the current situation.
Stay safe.
