January 2020 Update
Welcome to our update for January where you can find out what we have been up to during the month.
We have launched ourselves into 2020 with a very busy January. If we finished 2019 with a flourish we have started 2020 with a bang.
The year started with the New Year’s Day walk at Weald Country Park, organised by Greyhound Walks. Thanks to our lovely volunteer walkers, several of our dogs were able to attend and enjoyed their walk with around 200 other greyhounds. Whilst there, we met a family who hadn’t yet realised they needed a greyhound in their lives – long story short, they’ve now adopted Patch!
Promotion of our hounds got under way with two Tesco meet and greets attended, giving our funds a much needed boost and a chance for people to meet our greyhounds. A further number of dates are now confirmed with various Tesco branches throughout the year. If you have a confident hound and would like to get involved promoting these fantastic dogs as pets please get in touch.
January is usually a slow month for us so this month was rather a pleasant surprise. We waved goodbye to Tony, Tommy, Patch, Queenie, Mo, Kyvie, Shona and Dino. February is also looking promising with no less than nine hounds reserved. Thanks go to all our fantastic volunteers, without you we would not be homing these wonderful dogs.
We wish all of their adopters many happy years with their hounds.
Team Dunton
