October Update
Welcome to our update for October where you can find out what we have been up to during the month.
Although we did not have any events this month there are always things to do around the kennels. The most important of which is the daily walking of the dogs. A huge thank you to all our regular walkers. This activity gets the kennel hounds used to being handled by lots of different people so when prospective owners meet them for the first time they are confident and show themselves off well. We can always do with more volunteers so if you can spare some time during walking hours (11.00am – 1.00pm daily) we would love to see you. A word of warning, after the recent rain our field is starting to get muddy so wellies or suitable shoes are recommended. If you have not got a calendar for next year the Greyhound trust one is now on sale on their website. December’s picture features our own Mr Bingley in his elf costume. The picture was taken at one of last year’s Christmas meet and greets. Something for the Christmas stocking perhaps?
This month saw five dogs going to their forever homes. We said goodbye to Missy, Tess and Blitz. Grace and Vicky. We wish all of their adopters many happy years with their hounds. Interest in our dogs remains strong and November is already looking promising as Sarah has left us for her new home and we have three dogs reserved due to go home shortly. Hopefully we will have another great month.
