We're urgently seeking a new home for Buzz! Sadly he has been returned after 3 years due to a change in family circumstances. He is fine with small dogs as he has lived with a Jack Russell. He is very sociable, loves people and very sad about being back in kennels. If you think Buzz might be for you, please contact Elaine on 01279 501 899 or 07505 307 810, or email elaine @ greyhoundhomer.co.uk (without the spaces either side of the @ symbol of course)

How can anybody dump a greyhound in winter after he has lived with the warmth of being a pet dog. A greyhound has to be born lucky, such a shame for Buzz.

Most important of all though Eddie is that he has a safe kennels to come back to so he can be rehomed again. I remember Buzz from my days walking at Ockendon, and he shouldn't have any problems finding a new home.

We don't always know why dogs are returned. Very often it's a case of divorce, bereavement, change of hours at work that mean that it would be kinder to rehome the dog. It's always sad to see them come back to the kennels, but I'd hate people to feel that they will be judged if they return the dog - it may mean they have it put down, or advertise it on the net. At least if they are returned to us they will be looked after and their new home checked out beforehand. I'm posting a link from Chris, it was posted 4 years ago but I can still remember how upset I was to read it. A lot of soul searching went into his decision and I would imagine a lot of people feel like this when they're faced with the decision to give up their dog, we shouldn't judge them. greyhoundhomer.proboards.com/thread/1372/sad-news

I'm so pleased to hear that Buzz has a new home. I'm sure he will have a lovely time with his new family.
