This weekend we was invited by the RGT as volunteers for Greyhoundhomer if we would like to help out at Discover Dogs at the Excel. Myself and the hounds went up on Saturday and had a thoroughly enjoyable day Sally, Ian, Darcy and Roma came along too. All four hounds were extremely well behaved as always and there was a lot of interest in the dogs so hopefully some more dogs will be rehomed from the day. I hope we are invited back to take part again next year. Pia x Attachment Deleted. Attachment Deleted

Darcy has been insufferable since The Duke and Duchess of Kent had the great privilege of meeting him! Like a good republican, Roma didn't get up from her bed to acknowledge them. I missed this completely, I think I was in search of food at the time.
All the dogs were complete and utter stars. Darcy did do a sort of double take when we first walked in, but soon got into his stride. Many people commented on how calm the houndies were in comparison with the other dogs, not a bark or a whine all day.
We saw Rachel and her Lurcher* (you wuz robbed in Scruffs Rachel) and people were commenting on how calm the lurcher was, to which Rachel replied 'Yes, that's the greyhound in her'. That says it all really.
What a great day, I loved it and really enjoyed chatting about the hounds all day, and seeing all the other dog breeds.
* sorry Rachel, can't for the life of me remember her name!
