Did anybody try any of the suggestions from the firework thread? What did you think of the suggestions, did you use any and did they work or not? Cass isn't bothered now but I can remember how she was the first year we were together. It would be good for reference for any owners of future rescues to be able to refer back to this page to be able to see how they might be able to help their dog. We had a large public display about 500yds away and just as a precaution I did give Cass 3 lots of Rescue Remedy that day, she slept through it all, while enjoyed it from the kitchen window.

I am so very lucky to have such laid back dogs. This picture of Cara and Oliver was taken on Sunday evening when it was very noisy outside, after at least 2 weeks of fireworks.

what a nightmare poor jo panting away bloodshot eyes blue tongue, tried cuddles ,food ,resue remedy, loud tv/radio nothing seemed to calm her.while this is going on molly is doing normal greyhound pose on her back with legs in the air.I asked the vet about thunder coats and was told that it was only about a 50% success rate, although at the moment i regret not getting one and giving it a go.Still looking on the bright side hopefully the worse of it is over for this year .

Very good, as every year, with adaptil collar. Had my sisters greyhound for few days. Put collar on her and calmed down within ten minutes.

A friend has just adopted a retired guide dog, the blind lady that had him said he was petrified of fireworks. My friend used Rescue Remedy and an adaptil plug in and she said that helped him calm down. I'm thinking of getting a collar or plug in to help with Cass for storms.
