This maybe useful info. I had to take Kia to the vet to have one of her ears looked at as she constantly had a build up of wax and there was a sign of infection. I had been treating her with a proprietary brand of ear drops for dogs but to no effect. I mentioned this to the vet who said that the best medication is Otex as it doesn't have a level of acid in it that many drops for dogs does, and that these acids can damage the ear canal on rare occasions. Also, when cleaning the ears it is better to use a diluted Dettol mix rather than baby wipes etc. All helps!!
