Did anybody try Fragaria 3c to get rid of the plaque and tartar from their dogs teeth and if you did what did you think of it? Did it make any difference. I'm still putting 1 in Cassies water about once a week.

Hi Yvonne
I've put all my doggie friends on it. They have 2 sources of water so I put a tablet in each, every day - they are all looking good, especially Lily.
One question: does it stimulate saliva? I ask this because the other night when Lily was chewing on a dental stick I noticed that she was salivating more than I have seen before and she was quite mucky.
I got it off EBay - it said on the invoice, use as per instructions enclosed - I didn't get any.

Pat I didn't notice any excess saliva but if anybody else has, perhaps they'd let us know. If the " toothies" are looking good I'd only use it once a week. I was amazed at the difference it made to Cassies teeth. Wonder why they don't have good strong looking teeth, the sort you'd be wary of if you were a burglar. Saying that she still makes a better job of a pigs ear than I could !

I have started using it with mine instead of plaque off as it is so much cheaper. I just add it to their food and have had great results and now only brush their teeth about once wvery two weeks.

I've noticed my neighbours whippet has loads of tartar her teeth are covered, she won't eat anything hard including dental sticks/ pigs ears, biscuits or crunchy treats. so we're going to try just putting it in water.

We have been using plaque off for about 2 weeks, and it makes tooth brushing much easier. so far so good.

I've been giving Kia and Ted fragaria every day in their food and there is a distinct difference after only a week.

Fragaria is a homeopathic treatment. I have my dogs on it, 1 pillule 3 times a day. For best results I was told the pillules shouldn't be handled and administered directly into the dogs mouth and not within half an hour either side of food. I notice many of you are putting it in the water or in the dogs food, is this the pillules or something else?

Yes, 1 pillue per day in water.
I bought mine on the internet , says on container see administration sheet for correct dosage (but I didn't receive one).
When I first got them Lily had 1 per day in food, then I put it in her water instead. Since then I have been getting conflicting information and am now confused as to what is the correct doage.

I use Fragaria 3c pillules made by Dorwest herbs for Cass. I used to put 1 a day in her food and 1 a day in her water. When you think the scale has gone just put 1 in the water about once a week to stop the scale returning. It doesn't whiten the teeth, I think it just softens the scale so when they eat something hard the scale comes away. No don't touch the pillules just administer using the little container they come in. I could see the difference in Cass teeth after a week when I first used them. Raw carrots are also good for keeping dogs teeth clean if they'll eat them, Cassie wont.

I've never heard about putting them in water before, surely this would just dilute the treatment? Where did you get the info about adding them to water please?

Don't worry about diluting a homeopathic remedy - one underlying theory with homeopathy is that the more dilute the preparation the most powerful it is!

I've put the fragaria into Fizz's drinking water, but have also diluted it in a small amount of water, then put it into a syringe (about £2-£3 onlne), that way not as much water is being used.

Tooth problems are very difficult to handle until one gets proper dental advice and medications. My cousin broke her teeth in an accident last year and went through cosmetic surgery last year. I am extremely thankful to Torrance dentist for their wonderful tooth implant as it looks really original. Perfect work and highly recommended to all dental patients.
