I woke up the other night and my bed was wet with urine - now it wasn't me, as my Shaun The Sheep pj's were dry, so it had to be Kia who has taken to keeping me company at night. Since then she has been incontinent on a few more occasions whilst asleep in her bed. She is very good when awake and will 'ask' to go out. She has a follow up visit to the vets in 10 days time so I will bring it to their attention then but I was wondering if anyone else had come across this problem. I put it down to possibly a change of environment, having only been with me for 5 days, but there are a number of clinical reasons in the medical books. I will also get a chance to ask her previous owner if it's a long term condition or not when I give them my weekly update. Meanwhile I am prepared for a daily 'bedding wash'!! I just hope Ted doesn't think it's OK to pee indoors as he is such a lazy mutt and has to be 'strongly encouraged' to get up and go out into the garden each morning! Dave

During Seans last year he went through periods where he would wee on the floor of one of our rooms overnight, but the only time he semi lost bladder control was after he'd had an op and there was still anaesthetic in his system. During our last month of ownership someone who works at the vets we used to go to mentioned a tablet the dog could take which was reportedly effective at preventing weeing overnight. We never got a chance to try it unfortunately, but I believe the person who suggested it uses it with their dog who is on the older side. Might be worth asking the vet about? Or searching online for info on it?
