Hi all, Fizz had her booster and check up today, everything is ok with her , but while I was there I weighed her. After doing that I'm a bit concerned as she now weighs 32.2kg. She was 25kg when I got her and I did say I wouldn't let her put on too much weight. To me she doesn't look overweight, but at 32kg is she too heavy for a Greyhound?

Hi Lee yes it is too much weight for a female greyhound, cut her down slowly, do not do it too quickly, look at her pin bones ,the two that slightly show on her back above her back legs, these should just see hair movement as she walks, too weighty and you will not see them ,under weight and there will be a dip between them, that will give you her best eight pat

Thank you Pat. Can't see or feel her pin bones, not good. Not really sure how she has put on so much weight, it's not as though I've been giving her anything extra, will take your advice and reduce what she is having. Thanks again.

It's funny but they do seem to have different metabolisms, bit like us I suppose.
Brennan definitely has a slower one than Nellie and has a tendency to put on weight, much more readily than her.
