I am looking for some ideas please. First breakfasts. Her lady ship has now gone off of weetabix (totally refused the fake ones and now refusing the branded ones) and shredded wheat. Any ideas please?
Secondly, it appears Lady Kitty has a sweet tooth as she gets very excited when there is anything sweet about. We have resisted giving her anything so far. Tried dog buttons but she spat them out like a machine gun! Again, any ideas gratefully received x

I sometimes give Mr Ted a small can of rice pudding with warm water added to it to reduce the milk content. One of his all time favourites is warm porridge, made with water.

Ben loves porridge, I put grated apple and carrot in it, and if I have cooked him liver I use the cooking water to make it. He also loves wholemeal bread, especially toasted. He has not got a sweet tooth, but I know a lot of dogs like banana and apple.

What are markies Pat? I have never heard of it/them? Rice pudding is a good idea, I will give that a go. Porridge she will only eat if I squeeze a drop of honey on top. Is honey okay for them? I have only done this twice as I wasn't sure. Kitty had a one-dog protest when I tried putting banana in her breakfast, she was not amused and looked at me as if I was trying to poison her She loves carrot so that is an idea, I haven't tried apple so will add them to my shopping list. She does seem to like whole meal bread but I am not sure what to put on it?

Ted will eat bread without anything on it!! He has a light supper of bread soaked in diluted warm milk which could also be tried as a breakfast I guess. I can't see anything wrong with a small amount of honey, considering honey is used in a lot of natural remedies for humans.Good thing we don't spoil our hounds!!!!

Betty like likes porridge or toast (with a little jam scrapped on). Hubby makes her French toast or scrambled egg sometimes.....not that he spoils her lol.

My two don't have a different breakfast, they just have half their ration of meat and biscuits in the morning and the other half in the evening. For treats they like cheese, raw carrots, dentastix, gravy bones and bakers dentalicious cut into bits.

prince has pate or scrambled egg on toast for lunch or a plain yogurt. sometimes i mix the yogurt in the scambled egg. A friend who use to own greyts said she fed hers cornflakes, raw egg and a little watered milk. Markies are treat you can buy from pets at home or chalkwell pets. I think they use to be called bono`s Prince is not a great lover of those. I buy Frolics which i use as treats but you must not give more than 18 a day as they are like a meal.

My 2 like sausage & cheese sandwiches for breakfast, but do get bored and also like wheetabix.
But their favourite at the moment is pasta with tinned pilchards, (not the ones in brine, too salty but with most of the tomato sauce washed off!)

I didn't know that, Pat. Thanks! Thought it might be a bit rich for them, but they really love Pilchards as a treat, so will keep it in next time!
