So how wet is it where you are? We've now had rain constantly without break for more than 12 hours. Fortunately for us there's no risk of flooding to us. However Braunton not far away has not been so lucky, below is a pci of Braunton High Street... Seans been moping along on his walks which is unusual for him, although it might be related to the change of dog coat since he's been have the extra protection provided by his coat with built in snood.

I'm so glad that you're safe - I really feel for the people who've been flooded - I don't know where you start the clean up...
We live on the side of a high ridge so most of the South East would be under water before we flooded - we're very glad that we've taken the boat off the Thames though - the river is high and wild at the moment!
Hope you have a great Christmas - give Sean a hug from me :-)

It's fairly soggy in Southend way. The hounds are not happy about getting their little heads wet!
I packed Richard of to Kingsbridge in South Devon today and it took him a long time to get back- not due to London traffic but because of the collapsed banks down the lanes! All the travel warnings are saying not to go to the West Country esp. by train but I'm going to do the journey on Thursday

Hi Mark
I thought of you this morning when they showed flooded areas in Devon. 12 hours of rain, that's going some!
Hope you, Emma and Charlotte and of course Sean, have a happy , warm and dry Christmas.

We're drying out for a while here now, but I gather more showers are on the way. We're watching The Snowman with Charlotte, and I just said to her if it snows this year we can build a snowman, Emma than cut in saying shouldn't that be a boat!

Glad you're not affected, Mark, but I know Braunton's just up the road from you.
I feel for people flooded out, I can remember being in a holiday cottage in Devon when there was a freak storm and literally a "river" up to the window sills was rushing past the cottage & Tony was up all night soaking up the filthy, muddy waters seeping under the door. It was frightening. The west country really seems to be kopping the bad weather, hope the next lot of rain doesn't cause any disruption. Hope your journey on thursday will be ok, Katey.
