just wondered if anyone has any useful tips on treating a cut on the tip of the tail . Molly alice being a normal wagging tail greyhound has a tiny cut on the tip of her tail which is normaly not a problem but when ever she gets excited the tail wags hits somthing and starts bleeding .Sunday morning looked like an axe murderer had been let free in our kitchen and dining room. last night we put a pad on it with a finger off a rubber glove tied on don t know how long it stayed on but was of this morning.Any one out there got any ideas?

Gazza, we had the same problem with Patrick when we first got him. He had damaged the tip of his tail and kept knocking it and we would find trails of blood, on the floor, on the curtains, up the wall. It was like the chain saw massacre. We used to wrap the tip in some lint, put some sticking plaster over the lint and then bandage it as far as we could. Then we heard that there is a spray type sealant you could get, someone else might know what it is but I believe, like on humans, vets use it to seal the wound.
