Hi,
I was wanting to know if anybody elses hound eats loads of grass?
I know that dogs eat grass to help their digestion and to make themselves sick. It is just that my hound, Mousha will just stand there and eat and eat it if I let her and is very rarely sick with it!!
She has been doing this for ages and as far as I know, is completely and utterly healthy and happy and doesn't appear to be lacking in any kind of nutrient or anything like that. However, because she seems to want to eat so much of it and because it has been going on for a long while, I am beginning to to wonder if I should be concerned that something is wrong, or is this behaviour completely normal?
Any advice will be much appreciated
Many thanks.
Jenny

Baby does this a lot too.she will also 'grab and go' if there are any patches along the pavement.she will also specifically ask to go out in the garden to just eat grass.I used to worry it wasn't a normal thing to do,but she has never been sick, only thing is(dont read next bit if your eating your tea) it sometimes gets stuck coming out the other end lol.not good trying to take grass out of a dancing around greyhound

Both mine eat grass and would eat tons of it if I didn't stop them after a bit. They have never been sick with it though and I know what you mean Sarah (LOL!!) it can be rather unfortunate at t'other end sometimes!!
