At last, Darcy is off the computer and I can have my say.
Darcy is OK but he can be a bit pushy. Every time we get ready to go for a walk we have to bounce up and down to make sure the hoomans don't wander off and forget what they're supposed to be doing, and Darcy always accidentally on purpose knocks me out of the way, the big oaf. He is also unbelievably greedy. He thought just because he practically inhales his dinner he could then come over and try mine, but I soon sorted him out. However, I was quite nervous when I first moved in so it was sort of nice to have someone to show me the ropes.
I knew something was up this morning, something didn't feel right. I cried when Dad went out to the car, I don't know why. Then Dad put Darcy's lead on, but Mum suggested it would look better on Darcy. Anyway, once they'd sorted that out Dad and Darcy disappeared in the car, and I was left behind!!! It was dreadful, I was heartbroken and cried for at least 30 seconds, but then Mum gave me a squeaky toy and I forgot about them. So, we had a nice girls' morning in, Mum groomed me and then we did some training. Then we did something really exciting - WE WENT FOR A WALK ON OUR OWN!! It felt so daring! Mum walked me right through the high street and up the main road and I was really brave (I stuck close to her though) and then we went to the vets to get me weighed. I am back up to my racing weight so that 's good, but I'll have to watch it, don't want to lose my 17" waistline! I got very excited at the vets as the lady at the counter handed a cat in a box to another lady, I though we were getting a takeaway. We walked through the woods on the way back and I got very excited about some squizzels - it was nice to have some fun without D rolling his eyes at me.
Mum says she'll take me to a meet and greet if there's one at Southend or Pitsea, so she can take me home or to Nan's if I don't like it. I'm looking forward to meeting some more of you at the summer events.
