Has anyone been to their local supermarket today? Emma and I went tonight it was weekly shop time. When we got there we found the store had been raided by customers! There was next to no bread, no milk, very few vegetables. I guess people think we're going to get alot of snow tonight \ tomorrow? If that's the case Seaney will be in his element!

I'm afraid I was in our local store yesterday stocking up with food (mainly dog food) - I did leave some for other people though :-)
It's snowing heavily in Surrey - our road (steep, ungritted) will be horrible by tomorrow morning - I've already told Blue and Lou that they're confined to the garden (it is more than an acre but they'll still complain!)

We have got it quite bad here in Ockendon, it started about midnight and again this morning. Frank has not ventured outside as yet but with the noises and aroma's coming from his bum it wont be long until he is evicted from my bed!

It came down heavy here this afternoon, I have just been out and it dosent feel as cold and alot of it is melting already.
I just feel so sorry for all the dogs in the kennels, they must be so cold at the moment, particularly older ones in particular Major and his arthritus, if only I could win the lottery and set up a massive house and take them all in.

Alison! My mums fallen for major,we're tryin hard to pursuade my dad and my mums boss! I cant come up kennels till end of month as my car has died! Gotta buy another one :-( my mum went shopping earlier, and saw a lady shove every tin of tomato puree and garlic paste into her trolley! She didnt even buy and pasta\meat\cheese! I think its madness to be honest,if everyone only bought a normal amount of stuff i think it would be fine! :-)

well a bit of good news, looks like i will have a car by sunday (fingers cross) its a little micra :-) only prob with it is its red!!! :-) My Nissan Micra is red too I think it was probably a job lot of paint - as they all seem to be that colour ha ha ha Being a Chelsea supporter it has been difficult to drive such a vehicle but I make up for it by putting daft stickers in the windows and she (I call her Florence) wears her Poppy with pride so she is colour co-ordinated Mine's an N reg - and if Vinny could fit in the back then I know Bertie will be fine sweetie. I used to pull the front seat way forward for him and then he'd clamber in and could stretch the length of the back seat A different story now we have the two - I haven't even tried to get them both in! Oh and back on subject - the snow is sooooo bad here - but you'd think we were expecting to be hibernating for years - no bread, very little milk - the Sainsbury's here has sold out of even the dried milk (which we use for the dogs cornflakes!) - people are strange! but it takes all sorts.... xxx

Glad your car is better. I've just had to change my lovely little red car for something more "Betty friendly" so I've now got a purple modus. As for panic buying, I had to go to Sainsbury's today as we only got back from Cornwall last night (I know we are mad going to Cornwall in January in the snow) and I needed a few bits. It was bedlam - kids crying, adults arguing and shelves emptying I was glad to get out! Hope the snow goes soon. I'm sick of the white stuff. Nicky
