for those who keep asking me, winch woody has now gone to his new home in Ipswich and is really enjoying home comforts and has been a very good boy. He was the dog who broke his toe in the snow and would not put it down, according to the vet it is now healing very well and he will soon be back to normal, hopefully the new owners will put some photo's of the handsome boy on site pat

What wonderful photos - that is one settled hound.
Woody's grandfather (Honcho Classic) was our boy Blue's father - unmistakeable bloodline of handsome blue hounds and I love rufty tufty lurchers too...

Hi Pat, thanks for the phone call asking how Woody is getting on, well its been a week since we brought this gorgeous boy home with us to Ashbocking in Suffolk and he has settled in very very quickly indeed, it seems like he has been here for months!!!!! He has taken to our Lurcher girl Milly and her to him, they are laying together now as i write this!! He has been absolutely spotless in the house and is superb with our chickens in the garden. His toe is getting better by the day and does not put him off coming for short walks. He does however LOVE his food and will take anything that is left on the kitchen worktop but is getting to know what a firm NO means. It did'nt take him long to discover the delights of a sofa either and shares this with Milly too. He is due to see the vets again on Friday so will let you know how he got on and will try and post some more pictures of him soon, thanks again and regards,David.

What fab photos of Woody and Milly. Looks like he is happy with his new girl friend - well and truly settled. Its amazing how quickly greyhounds adapt to the hooman life style.
Here's to all the good times yet to come.

Hi Pat, just a quick update on Woody's toe, he's been to the vets this morning and Mr Steele was very happy with his progress so far and seems to think that its healing nicely, he's asked to see him in 2 weeks time to hopefully sign him off !!!. Woody walks ok and is only bothered by it every now and then, usually when he turns on it.We are starting to see his true personality come through more and more each day as he settles in to life with us.Will update again soon and hopefully have some more pictures. Thanks to everyone for the lovely messages and taking time to post, regards,David.

What smashing pics of Woody and Milly, and welcome to the forum David. I'm so pleased Woody was lucky, and found you. He is obviously very happy in your home with you and Milly and you obviously love him to bits. Thank you so much for letting us know he is ok, and the beautiful photos. Two lovely hounds you have there now. Good luck and have loads of fun.

Hi All, just a quick update on my boy Woody, well its been 3 weeks today and we are amazed how he has settled in to life with us, i had to ask Pat if he had been in a home before!!.He has been brilliant in the house with no accidents at all and he is learning his manners now and not taking anything thats at his head height or above ie worktops. He is learning very quickly indeed. The toe is almost 100% and does not seem to bother him at all now, we are going to see Mr Steele on Friday so that should be the last time. I have taken some more photo's of him and will try and add them to this thread, if not i will email them to Pat, thanks again for the nice comments, regards,David and Woody
