Fizz and I left Molly behind today when we went to Ampthill for a fundraising walk/buffet lunch in aid of GRWE.
We all met at the appointed time and then 100+ greyhounds, plus owners and significant others, crossed the road into the Country Park. It was amazing to see so many hounds in convoy.
The scenery across the countryside was fantastic, the hounds behaved impeccably and we walked in glorious sunshine.
Afterwards we all. (dogs included) had a buffet lunch in the function room attached to the town's Parkside Hall.
It was a little cramped but well organised and everyone got fed and watered. Again, the dogs were so well behaved, they laid on the floor with 'strange' dogs' and no growls.
The money raised was to fund the vet bills for a dog called Tornado who broke his hock in his last race. Tornado was there strutting his stuff, he has recovered well from his surgery.

Ah what a lovely way to spend a Sunday. Give yourself both a pat on the back for having the energy in doing such a worthwhile thing after all the bad weather we have had this week! x
