Beautiful eight year old Colly Dolly came home with Alan and I on Sunday, and I love her to bits. Will put some pics on here when I can, but I loved her as soon as I saw her, as she is such a character, and full of beans literally, thus the name SPRING as she is like a jack in a box.
She is the same age as Grace, who was Milly, that we homed earlier this year and they get on really well, but I'm so pleased for my black lurcher bitch who lost her friend a month or so ago, and has not been eating well. They are such good friends and all the dinner breakfast and dinner dishes are now licked clean. Its a joy to see.
Will update this thread with more news as we go along, but I dont think she will be coming back to you Pat !! he he ;D ;D

Congratulations!
I seem to recall Spring was a beautiful white and black girl wasn't she? Maybe you need to add summer, autumn and winter for completeness of your brood!!!! Seriously, well done for adopting two older girls! Hope to meet you and all your lovley hounds one day. Sue

Thanks for puting Alans one on. -- And thanks everyone for your good wishes, and yes he chose the name as she leaps off the ground with all fours. She is lovely XX Great idea re- the names Sue, but I have a rabbit called Summer and the black girl is called Breeze, so we are getting around to that, sort of. I suppose I may be needing more dogs.

Thanks Sarah, and hi again, Mandy, Steve and gorgeous Rodger. It was lovely meeting you all too. Grace was very taken with Rodger, but I can understand why. I've just been looking at his photos on your introduction thread. You will have to give us some more recent ones. I'm sure he had a lovely time at Stifford, and hope to see you at another event soon. Here are a couple of pics from Springs' first walk on her first day with us.

Hi Angela - thanks for posting. She is getting on really well with everyone. I dont think she can believe it. She's been tearing around the place like a mad thing with a big grin on her face today, but I have to make sure the cat's shut away as she's very interested in her. More photos will follow but I really must apologise !! I've just looked at her paperwork again today and I'm really pleased to discover she is only five and not eight. So sorry for the mistake, but on the other hand I'm delighted. I thought she was a live wire for her age, but then Grace is mad also, so didnt think much of it. Dont know how I made such a stupid mistake though ......I'm surprised one of the team didnt notice, or perhaps they didnt like to say. Ruby's very layed back about the whole thing, I must say. Hardly gave her a second look, and went back to bed. ;D As long as they get their dinner when they're old, and their routine's not changed, they are not much bothered ;D
