Ok, so I'm having trouble finding something that Whiz finds irresistable as a treat for training. So far everything else is far too interesting to listen to mummy ;D What do you use? He likes plenty of things, fish, cheese, any cooked meat, he just doesn't like them enough for them to be enough of a distraction when trying to train him in any way.

We've had it easy with Sean, and haven't had to do any training with him to speak of, well apart from the stairs, but had we done the treat would definitely be cheese...he loves it...as soon as the cheese comes out of the fridge he's there looking at you. We always give him a little, you can't really say no to those eyes. We used a piece of cheese at the top and bottom of the stairs everytime he did it by himself. Other things that work well with Sean are sausages, Cassies cakes of course, Pedigree Rodeos, Boneos - he's fairly adaptable...LOL!

Whatever you find to use, only ever use it when you go training, do not give it to him on a regular basis, this will make the treat even more special. Angela

I use Bakers Allsorts Whirlers ham and cheese, they are softish twisted tubes that you can cut with a pair of scissors, so you can give small pieces, £1 a packet from our local pound shop. I also use Natures Menu chicken treats which I get from Latchford Farm aquatics St Marys Lane Upminster made with 95% meat. Neither of these are messy. We used to use well grilled liver and dice it for our Dobies but that was a bit messy and Cass hasn't got the same sort of stomach as they had. Yvonne
