10 days in our home, and Alex is showing that he is guaranteed a place on the 2020 Olympic roaching team - great technique and artistic interpretation second to none :-) There is a really long way to go, but he is now completely relaxed in his safe nest, which, fortunately, is in the same room as us. As he sleeps 23 hours a day, this leaves us with one skittish hour a day to overcome - he's coming along nicely. His foot looks horrible and we are waiting for an opinion from a specialist but it may simply too late to reset the bones that have been allowed to heal so crooked :-(

Alex looks so totally relaxed now, how pleasing for you. It is just so lovely to see.
I so hope they can do something for his foot, I feel sure they can. How much pain does Alex appear to be in? Looking at the photo not much pain! To me it seems this gorgeous boy has come a long way in such a short space of time. Is he coming to you now and has he let you stroke him yet?
Thanks for the update.
We have been on holiday but came home Thursday morning, our friends looked after Ollie whilst we were away, when we knocked at the door Ollie went mad to see us, jumping up at us and kissing us, clearly he had missed us as much as we had missed him. He is currently on the two seater sofa, head on a cushion sleeping soundly.....does this sound familiar? LOL
All the best, and please keep us updated on Alex, I look daily on the website and will always pick your message up.
Much love
Jo and Ollie (Pickapocketortwo)

Alex lets us stroke him but it's not his favourite thing, though he is showing signs of enjoying a belly rub when he's roaching :-)
He doesn't come to us yet - he's almost there - he follows us around to see what we're up to and will come quite close, but the minute you look at him he runs back to his safe nest. But we have plenty of time and at least he is curious now - he was totally shut down when he first arrived. He'll also move in for a lean when we're bimbling round our field. But at times he forgets it all and gets all nervous and has to be reminded from scratch that we are ok after all!
He loves food, so that makes life a lot easier :-)
I love that Ollie greeted you so enthusiastically - I think it will be some time before Alex greets us but it will be an amazing day when he does :-)
xx Sue
