Does anybody have any ideas for how to help dandruff? Does regular brushing help? I am giving him Yumega which the vet prescribed but it's super expensive! I have seen posts about cod liver oil and aloe Vera gel to help dry patches... I might swap to cod liver oil when the Yumega runs out. Is there a specific shampoo? And how often to shampoo? He hates showers but I've been doing it when he gets a bit muddy from walks (not often - fortnightly?)
Thanks! Sabrina

Hi Sabrina brush him regular, put a cod liver oil capsule in his food,i also feed sardines in oil once a week , i also put a small amount of baby oil on my hands and massage it in, they soon get a lovely shiny coat, it is normally the warm dry air in a home that does it, once they have settled and shed the first coat it normally gets much better pat

Our Mandy also had it. I give cod lever oil and feed fresh meat now. She also gets sardines once a week and an raw egg. It looks like she has less dandruff now. I think it takes a few months to become better.

Also when you bath the dog use a puppy shampoo, it's much milder on their skin and we find causes hardly any dandruff.
