Hi Pat
We could probably help out, I presume they'll be a greyhoundhomer stall, but are we allowed by the event to bring some hounds along? If so, will there be parking, as there's no way we could get them on public transport!

Hi Pat
That's ok then, we'll do the Saturday.
Hopefully Madame Willow will have really learnt her manners by then, so she will be well behaved when she greets her public and all the underdogs! If ever there was a dog who thinks she should be wearing the canine equivalent of white gloves, pearls and a tiara.......!!!

We went to the Excel centre today! There was lots of interest in the hounds, which was great to see.
It was lovely to see Sally & Ian and as usual Darcy and Roma were incredibly chilled right from the start. Poor Brennan was stressed , wouldn't settle, so had to be taken home. Nellie was her usual self lapping up fuss, especially from children. I was rather worried about how Willow would be, as it was her first show/fundraiser and she was brilliant!
I have to say though, Pat, I don't know what sort of dog you sold us, but Willow cannot be a greyhound, as she stood up the WHOLE day, she sure knows how to work a crowd, fluttering her golden eyelashes and leaning on everyone she could get near to!!!

I hope Madame Willow is fully recovered after all the standing, she was an absolute star, a real rival to Diva Darcy! Mind you, he does have a slightly different technique, he just lays down and demands to be adored. I hope poor old Brennan is over the trauma as well.
It was a great day with lots of interest in the hounds and quite a few people took leaflets.
Lots of people start out with 'I know this is a stupid question but.......' to which I usually answer that there are no stupid questions. However, one lady asked Ian how they were with children, and as there were children all over the dogs, who were lapping it up, I feel this may be the exception!

Thanks Sally, Brennan was absolutely fine at home, he's not bothered if he's on his own, whereas my girlies would be.
Madame Willow has now recovered, but is insisting she brings her pearls and tiara next time, when meeting her public! Darcy makes me laugh every time, he's laid back in every sense of the word and Roma is so dainty and sweet!
I was really pleased there was so much interest in the hounds, especially as there were lots of more traditionally cuddly/cuties for the kids to see.
And seeing part of the wonderful Retriever Display Team really gave me ideas.....Lol!!

I suspect Darcy will fight Willow for the pearls and tiara!
