Hi there. Just to let anyone who's been wondering where the little girl who desperately needed rehoming has gone from the website... She's at my house settling in nicely I heard about her on Saturday, spoke to my husband about her, showed him the photo, then rang Pat to arrange a visit. Pat told me that Suzy's previous owner was due to drop her at the kennels around 11am on Sunday, so we agreed to come then.
We took her for a walk and to be honest that was it, I was completely head over heels. She is about as perfect a fit for me and my family as is possible and has worked her way into our hearts without really trying!
She has a new name, Lily, and seems to be settling in nicely, is eating & drinking well & has even had quite a waggy tail today so things are looking very positive. She's found her bed but also likes sprawling out on the rug in the front room with us during the day.
The first night she got up to every little sound but no crying and she slept well. Last night she settled straight away & didn't get off her bed until I came into the front room & put the light on this morning! As soon as she saw me she jumped up & came over to greet me tail wagging like crazy, and my husband got the same reaction when he came down Oh, and she's reacting to her new name already too so it's looks like she's a very clever little lady.
I cannot thank my friend Sam enough for tagging me in the original Facebook post highlighting Lily's situation, there just aren't enough words
I'll update again in a couple of weeks but here's a photo we took yesterday of Lily making herself at home.
