I have only just been able to write this, as with all of us, when we have to say goodbye it's the hardest time ever. Sadly our little Mersey had to be pts on 12th August, she had reached 12 years of age on 14th June and we adored her, over the last few months we noticed that she had lost weight, but put it down to her age as she was still eating and enjoying her walks with our other greyhound Beau, then she started to be sick now and again which was very unlike her, and yet she never complained once she was a tough little girl. The week before we had to say goodbye she started to be sick more regular and if she drank too much water she was sick, it got to the stage we had to stop her after a short time. We took her to the vets and the blood test showed she had kidney and liver problems, at one stage we had her on a drip to try and clear the toxins out of her body, but alas the morning we had to make the final decision she just couldn't stop being sick. We will never forget you Mersey and we hope you are running free on Rainbow bridge with your boy Bart who you adored. We miss you so much, love you always x Attachment Deleted

Oh Chris,
Haven't seen you for a long time, so was very sorry to hear the sad news about Mersey. Losing a much loved pet is always difficult and I know how much you (and Beau) will miss her but she is free of pain and no doubt running with her old pal Bart at the Rainbow Bridge.
Take care
Pat Sheppard
