How happy and comfortable they both look on their lovely beds. Wishing you all a happy time together. Hilary.

She looks settled already. I saw you yesterday when you were picking her up, she seemed very taken with your boy. Wishing you all the best.

Hi Pat,
Thank you so much for all your support. Millie is a real star. She's into everything and learns really quickly. She's very bright. And when I'm working on the computer, she comes and lies down behind me so I can see already that she is going to be another best friend. She has decided that she wants her bed behind the sofa, probably because its more enclosed and she feels more secure there. But it also keeps her out of the sun in the afternoons which is good since she isn't to spend time in direct sunlight with her panus.
We took her to our vet on Monday and asked him for a referral to an eye specialist. He thought she was a very healthy little dog and although he clearly knew a lot about panus, he was happy to refer us on. It might be overkill, but after everything that's happened I won't rest easy until we've gotten her the best help we can. its partly about her welfare, but also about us needing to feel we've covered all the bases should the day ever come that she loses her eyesight. Lets hope it never comes to that.
In the meantime, we've ordered her a pair of leopard print Doggles so she can still run on the beach in the sunshine. If and when she agrees to wear them I'll send you photo's to load up online so people can see that having a dog with panus can be fun. I've also bought her a sparkly emerald green collar to denote her Irish heritage, and a heart shaped brass name tag - photo's to follow. She's such a pretty girl, and such a character. Too right she deserves a comfortable home and lots of love and yummy food.
Speak soon much love Anna x
