It's with great sadness that I have to tell you that our Paddy died suddenly on Tuesday. He had been very lethargic on Sunday and refused to eat his tea, then Monday morning he seemed to be in some pain. We took him to the vet, where his legs gave way and they put him on strong pain killers. Despite doi ng various tests they were unable to identify the problem. He seemed to rally a bit on Tuesday morning and even had something to eat, but by evening he was struggling again. We went to see him and discuss what the next step was and just as we had agreed to refer him to a specialist he collapsed and died within seconds. We had 3 wonderful years with him which we will forever cherish. It seems only yesterday that we went to Elaine's to 'road test' him and were charmed by his gentle nature. Everyone who met him loved him, even if they weren't 'doggy' people. I'm not sure we will ever fill the big hole he's left. Rest in peace my handsome boy.

It always seems so unfair when they're taken so young - run free at the bridge dear Paddy...
