Well, we've had Woody for almost 8 weeks now and I can't imagine life without him. He's feeling right at home now. I know this cos in the same day he stole and exploded a bag of millet (belonging to our lovebirds) all over the carpet, knocked my son's toy dalek off the shelf with his tail and while my mum was picking up the pieces he took a packet of 6 Vienese whirls from her bag (carelessly left on the floor) and munched 4 of them! I knew his perfect behaviour wouldn't last and we love him even more for it. He has got the hang of the fact my son gets affection first when I come home from work, we've just got to stop him stamping on my feet to get his lead and collar on for walks but he does a perfect 'sit' if he thinks it's worth it! What a character!

We are so grateful for him, and proud of him, I now love greyhounds and will be recommending them to everyone I meet. I would love to post some pictures but can't get photobucket to work - I'll try again

Hi Lynn, we are friends of Pat and Jack who fostered Woody and we fell in love with him. To be honest, we were very tempted to adopt him ourselves, but with two greyhounds already (one who was in love with him) and our son's Jack Russell cross as a regular house guest it would have been a bit much. I am so pleased to read how well he has settled in, it sounds like he is keeping you on your toes (or should I say he is keeping himself on your toes!). I would love to see some pictures if you manage to work it out. Please give the big, daft lump a huge kiss from us. Val x

Dear Val, please give Pat and Jack our love and thanks, they did such a great job fostering Woody who brings joy to our lives on a daily basis and we are so grateful. I'm fascinated to hear more about your greyhounds, particularly the one who was in love with 'the Woodster' (as my son calls him)? His antics seem to have settled down again apart from chewing a candle which I had moved (I think Woody has a kind of doggy OCD, anything moved or out of place is fair game). I've managed to stop him stamping on my toes by refusing to put the lead on until he's calm but it's harder to get the rest of my family trained - as you know Woody is a very intelligent boy and learns very quickly - unlike me as I still cant use photobucket until I get my laptop working (using my phone now) but will keep trying. Lynn x

Hi Lynn, good to hear back from you - sorry for the delay in responding. I am so pleased to read that Woody brings joy on a daily basis - we feel the same about our two. Maybe we can meet up with Pat and Jack and 'the Woodster' plus our two sometime? I know Pat and Jack would love to see him again and it will give Sadie a chance to flirt - hussy I cannot work out how to add photos either - if you would like to email me your email address I will send you some pics of the girls with Woody. Val x
