Hi all, myself and my family are the proud owners of Law (Lawless) who we rehomed from Dunton. We've had him for just over a week. He's very well behaved - has never tried to climb on furniture or go upstairs. He's very clean and sleeps an awful lot!!! We do have a problem with him unfortunately in that he's decided to stop dead when out walking and refuses to move. It's becoming quite a problem. We've cut right down on his walk and just literally take him around the block a couple of times a day. We also find little white fluffy dogs quite irresistible ... Despite this problem we think he's absolutely wonderful!

Welcome to the forum. A sleeping Grey is a contented Grey!
Law must be related to Roma as she still digs her heels in from time to time and we have had her for three years or so. It is as well she is quite small and can be pursuaded to move eventually. If Darcy did this we would be stuck.
We used treats to distract our two form other dogs initally and rewarded them when they did not try to eat small fluffy dogs. Try to find something Law really likes (cheap sausages or small coctail ones worked for ours). You may be able to get Law moving by tempting him with a treat and lots of fuss.
Good luck.

Welcome! I love new owners coming on and letting us know how the dogs are doing.
Law is a lovely boy. Pia and I walked him just before you came to pick him up and weirdly he did the same to us! We gave him a bit of fuss and a gentle tug on the lead then he carried on like nothing was wrong!

Welcome to the forum, glad that Law is settling in so well, they soon find their feet in a new home, or rather their beds/comfy places!
Re the small furries, Nellie was a nightmare when we first got her, (even though she'd been in a home previously). We had to keep her muzzled for a few weeks, but she did learn that staring, shaking and licking your lips with small furries (all bad signs that they want to eat the recipient!) are not good manners and she even lets small dogs say hallo now.
I'm sure Law will get to know what you expect of him very quickly, good luck and keep us updated.
