Hi I'm new here - I have along with my wife recently rehomed Bubbly Dazzler or Daz for short from Dunton. I already have 2 dogs a Dalmatian and a Lurcher who in my eyes looks 95% a Greyhound. The story is that I got the Dalmatian as a puppy in 2010 then in 2013 got a 5 month lurcher from the Dogs Trust at Canterbury to calm her down. This worked so well that I had a mid life crisis recently and had to rehome a Greyhound (!) - its not easy walking 3 dogs and bringing a new dog into the fold but its early days...I've put a few posts on the Recently Homed page so please have a look.

Hi,
I've been following Daz's progress on Just Homed. He is such a handsome boy and I'm so glad he has fitted in with your other two dogs.
Way back in 2008 I was a newbie too. I adopted my first greyhound who came to live with me and my yorkie X (who had previously lived quite happily with my Lurcher).Sadly they dont live forever and since then I have rehomed twice.. I have now had Cara, my black beauty for 7 months. She lives happily with me, a staffie and a 3 legged chihuahua - what a motley crew!
The Stifford Show is a great place to meet up with other greyhound owners (a lot of whom are on the forum) and just enjoy being surrounded by greyhounds.

Welcome. Pia and I were at the kennels and spoke to you when you were choosing Daz. It is fab to see he is doing so well.
If you live locally there are often greyhound walks (other breeds come too) arranged by Pia and everyone is lovely. We would all love to see Daz again so come along if you can with your doggie crew! X

We will definitely be going to the Stifford show with Daz this summer, and we might even tackle some walks too. Its a shame we have to go via the Dartford crossing each time from Tonbridge in Kent makes me think we are miles away from Essex even though its only 30-40 minutes. I do remember meeting lots of lovely people at Dunton so hello again Caz and Pia I think I remember you but it was very overwhelming with so many hounds about! I wish I could have rehomed more if it was possible. We were keen on Ronnie too but 3 dogs is more than enough and Daz is settling in really well.
