Hi All, The Tower of London are currently in the process of 'planting' 888,246 ceramic poppies within the moat in a project they call Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red, marking the centenary of the outbreak of the First World War. Myself and Anthony went there a couple of weeks ago to volunteer and planted some. It is an incredible once in a lifetime experience and opportunity. I would highly recommend it to anyone. If you cannot volunteer and your nearby at any point up until the 11th November 2014 it is great to see and you can get some cracking photos. To volunteer visit the website: www.hrp.org.uk/volunteer - planting dates are up until 26th October 2014. The poppies are available to buy if you wish: poppies.hrp.org.uk/buy-a-poppy/Each poppy is unique and handmade. Just wanted to share this with you even though it's totally unrelated to Greyhounds! Pia x
