It is of great sadness that I have to inform you all that we had Zac PTS yesterday. It is a complete shock to us as he was only 8 years old. We noticed blood when he went to the toilet about a week ago and after antibiotics and anti inflammatory tablets made no difference, scans showed he had a large mass on his spleen and kidneys. The Vet said he won't last longer than a week, but he never really recovered from the sedative for the scan and didn't move from his bed and rarely lifted his head, for the last 2 days. We can't believe he is gone, we keep on expecting to see his big nose and floppy ears every time we come home. Love you Zac will miss you lots. Peter and Sarah. Attachments:

I always find when the greyhound Gods take away with their right hand what they have given with their left very heart-breaking. ZAC (Lamplighter) fell on his feet, only to have the rug pulled from beneath those same feet. The one good thing to come out of all this is he has two good people to wait for at the rainbow bridge. People who loved him and who are left with many poignant memories of the beautiful blue greyhound they took on to enhance their lives, and who did so with a wag and a smile.. Zac will always be remembered, and there will be times when you will feel his presence close to your side, I know I do, as every now and then one of my rainbow bridge dogs comes to check if I'm O.K. Don't cry for ZAC, he was loved far more than he ever was in his earlier life, save your tears for the day you meet again. Attachments:

Thank you all for your kind words, I still cant believe my baby boy has left us. I cry everyday for him we miss Zac so much. We are lucky enough to have our beautiful baby girl Nuala and we also have Honey who is a Lurcher Greyhound x Border Collie, she came to us in April this year after being pushed from pillar to post so we said we would keep her as i couldn't bear the thought of her going into Kennels and not finding her forever home.
