Amidst all the doom and gloom, these restore one's faith a bit. I cry at the drop of a hat and made it to number 2 before getting all choked up. www.buzzfeed.com/mjs538/moments-that-restored-our-faith-in-humanity-this-yOne example of a random act of kindness - earlier in the year Katiem attended a wedding in near Newcastle. She'd prebooked a train ticket to take her into Newcastle, then pick up the connecting train to Leicester. The first train was late and she missed the connection. They wanted to charge her £96 to get from Newcastle to Leicester. She was in pieces on the station, she didn't have that sort of money and knew no-one locally who could help. A very kind lady came to investigate and lent her £100.00 in cash. Katie let me know what was happening and I wrote out a cheque to the lady and posted it immediately. I also emailed her to thank her for stepping in and having the faith to help a stranger. She replied, thanking me for the cheque but saying she would shred it when it arrived, and asking me to donate it to charity if I felt so inclined. Needless to say, it went straight to RGT! What a star though. I'd like to add to this a big shout out for all the people who've done a random act of kindness. Also for all those who run and support charities, who give up their time and money to help causes close to their hearts.

It's not really an act of kindness but it made me smile: one o the other students in my years bumped into our nutty ex stock broker millionaire lecturer. They've arranged a poker game and if the Lecturer looses then he has to pay said students tuition fees, I'm not sure what the poor student has to do if he wins though!

if everybody knew the complete acts of kindness that have happened since we were evicted, people have given time and expertise, pots of paint, using their van to transport our goods about, painting kennels, raising money so we could buy the roof stuff(dont know the proper name of it)carpets, doing the roof for free in the name of their previous dog, making new beds and bedboards, trainers everybody has helped in some way to make the dogs comfortable and warm.Treats for the dogs, A big pat on the back to you all pat
