Dear Pat, I have some sad news, Vic died on 15th December, 2012 aged 11 years 8 months. You rehomed him with me on 8th May, 2007 {29067}. I am so glad that I adopted him as I was a bit dubious at first but what a wonderful dog he turned out to be. He was a “gentleman” loving, gentle and fun to be with. I was privileged to have had him as my companion for the past 5 years 7 months. Everyone who met him fell in love with him and remarked on how handsome he was and I was so proud of him he was a great “ambassador” for all retired greyhounds needing homes. I miss him and will always remember him with great fondness and forever be indebted to him for allowing me to share his life. RIP Vic we shall meet again. Mr Peter Perrin South Ockendon

Please pass on our condolence - how well we know how painful it is to lose them and what a gap they leave in our lives - sounds as if Peter has many happy memories to console him....

My sincere condolences. It's a privilege to share the life of a greyhound. They give us so much happiness that when it's time for them to leave us there is such a feeling of emptiness. Nevertheless the fond memories help to fill that void. RIP Vic.

There are many of us who know how you are feeling, he does look a bit like my Bart although it's been 1 1/2 years since he passed away I think about him every day, you sound like you have lots of lovely memories and believe me it's the good times that get you through the sad times. Run free on rainbow bridge Vic Chris
