Sadly we had to say goodbye to Lou today - the vet confirmed yesterday that the lymphoma was back, very aggressively - she was developing new symptoms every few hours and we knew it would be best to let her go before her suffering got too extreme... Here's our tribute to a brave girl.. Our tribute to Lou - indigodream.wordpress.com/2012/12/08/dog-blog-moors-gem-lou-1112002-8122012/

Hi Sue, sorry to hear this news, and loved the blog. I think you were incredibly brave going through all that you did in the last few months with Lou. I'm sure it's given many of us a good sense of the stresses and pressures it puts upon the individual and the family when a pet is seriously ill for a period of time.
RIP Lou

Although I never had the pleasure of meeting brave Lou I feel that I know her so well as a result of your blogs. She will be sorely missed, that goes without saying, but she has left behind a legacy for all. For me personally, and I am sure for many others, she has passed on inspiration as a result of following your dedication and devotion Sue.
Lou, a brave little girl who is now free from pain and running free at Rainbow Bridge.
RIP Lou xx

So sorry to hear about Lou. She is running free now at Rainbow Bridge, with Blue and Lynx, no doubt putting them in their place! The last few months have been traumatic for you, but you are already remembering all the good times in her life with you, in the fitting tribute. I'll never forget how her and Lynx miraculously and instantly transformed Brennan from a quivering wreck when they came bounding down the path in that first boat trip! She really was a character. Sending you our heartfelt sympathies and love.................

Sue I am so sorry to hear your sad news, I read the blog you have done about her with tears rolling down my face, she really was a fighter and such a shame that she didn't win this one.
You have some lovely photos and some lovely memories they come into our lives, make our lives and break our hearts when we have to say goodbye.
But as with all your past hounds, as most of us know in time the memories give us some lovely smiles of happier times. Chris xx

Sue and Richard, Sorry, I've not been around for ages, and only just realised you have lost Lou. So very very sorry she lost her fight. She must have left such an empty space in your life. Sending you both love and hugs, and hopeing your pain will ease soon. Your tribute is beautiful. Hazel xx
