Thursday 21st of June one of the saddest days of my life had to have Annie put to sleep after she seemed to be getting use to her arthritis and 2 slipped discs. she took a turn for the worse on Wednesday, turned out that she had bone cancer in her hip, this only left one real option. every time i go o the fridge i miss her little face.

Annie had a wonderful life and you are left with many beautiful memories. You were both lucky to have met each other and time will dull the pain to be quickly replaced by smiles as you remember all the good times you had together.
The greyhound can only ask:
"O' Lord please let me find my forever home, so there is always somebody to remember me when I'm gone."
Annie got her wish, she was one of the lucky ones.
The pain will soon go away, but somewhere, as you read this, imprisoned in a kennel there is another Annie just waiting for someone to love, and to have someone to remember her.

So sorry to hear about Annie, run free at Rainbow Bridge.
It's heartbreaking when we have to make decisions to let them go. May you find comfort in your memories.

My thoughts are with you. Annie was special, like all greyhounds and you gave her the love she deserved. Think of all the happiness she brought into your life as well.

Dear Jackie and Dave. So very very sorry. We were very sad when Pat told us the news, and fully understand how you are feeling. You have done the hardest thing by making the decisioin, and the very kindest thing for her. Take comfort in the fact you gave her the most wonderful life that any owners could have done, and she knows you always did the best for her. I'm sure she will be around you. We hope Frankie will be ok. Much love and hugs. Hazel and Alan xx

So sorry to hear about Annie, many of us know how hard it is to make the decision they are everything to us and the pain of not seeing them is so great, but as has been said you gave her a wonderful life and you will have lots of memories, I did a book of photos from before Bart came home until not long before he died, a year on it's still hurts but looking back over the wonderful times we had together helps. Run free Annie Chris x

Hi Dave, I've only just put 2 + 2 together and made 5. I see you most days in the park with your two mates whilst I am walking Josie and we've had many a conversation at 7am about Greys and all but I hadn't read the forum pages much lately. Of course after we met this afternoon on our walk and you told me your sad news my wife tied the two stories together. Obviously I knew you knew Pat etc.
I've already said it but Annie will be a great loss, I'd become quite fond of giving her and Frank a stroke in the morning and they both got on well with Josie too.
Must be a terrible time for you and I know the heartache that you've gone through and the trips to the vets and all to find a cure. So very sad to discover it was cancer when it looked like she was coping with the problem.
Our thoughts are most definitely with you (and Jackie)
Best Wishes Mike & Laura (see you and Frank around at some point in the park)
