Cass hasn't got wonderful teeth and I can't bend over her long enough to make "an impression" on them. I do give her dental sticks, pigs ears and paddywack to try to improve them, and she wont eat raw carrots which are good for cleaning a dogs teeth. I have just discovered Wilkinsons Prize dental bones and they are brilliant. There are 2 in a green pack for about £1.40, Cass has only had 2 bones and most of the scale has already gone, they are only 10% protein and are made in Ireland. Yvonne

Cass loves them as well, she must do, they are the only treats that don't result in crumbs all over the floor.!!!

That's your fault, you should have dipped them in curry sauce first!!!

No that isn't them. It's the Wilko brand and they are called Prize dental bones, in a green and clear cellophane bag. They are hard and take Cass much longer to get through than the softer sticks. I couldn't find them on Wilkinsons website, having just found them I hope they aren't going to stop them, I bought 6 packs last week. What are Fragaria pillules and where do you get them from? Raw carrots are great for cleaning dogs teeth but Cass won't eat them, even the Dobies had to chew those.!!!!

You could just wash them but I'd peel them, you don't know whats in the skin. Feed whole and raw and watch how Bertie has to chew on them, on second thoughts Bertie has got a funny tum so it may be best just to try say half of one at first.

ahhh, i will have to go in there and see if i can find them Yvonne. Fragaria is a homeopathic remdy used to soften tarter and plaque on teeth (works on dogs and people) www.vet-medic.com/pd_Fragaria+6C+x+125_FRAG1.htmIve only been using it on Storm & apollo for about a week but the results have been amazing so far! I get mine from a health food shop in leigh, but i know there are loads of places on the web that sell it. Its around £6 for 125 pillules/tabs so far far cheaper than a descale at the dentist! As with all homeopathic remedies you do have to be careful not to touch the pillules when giving them as the acids that naturally exist on your hands will stop it from working. You also shouldnt give them with or after food as again this can stop it from working. But its well worth the little bit of hassle!
