I'm Dave and I adopted Ted about 4 weeks ago having only just lost my sweet Dolly, another retired greyhound. I found it so hard not having my 'soul mate' around so I immediately went on the search for another buddy. In no time at all I found Ted, a very handsome fawn dog. He is so different to my Dolly that I don't feel I am replacing her, just adding another dimension!! He has settled in so well and has no fears at all - even follows me when I am hoovering! I can see Ted and myself building a really firm bond between us. He is such a great guy! I look forward to many years of friendship with Ted.

Dave Well done on adopting Ted, he looks a very handsome hound (seen the picture on the technical thread). It's so hard when they die, our homes can seem empty without a hound or two there.
Welcome to the forum.

We met Ted at "Paws in the Park" - I was there with my foster hounds Poppy and Ollie.
He seemed like a wonderfully settled boy and so handsome - I'm so pleased that you have given him a loving home.
As Sueb said - homes can seem very empty without a hound, or, two, or four :-)

Hi Dave Congratulations on rehoming another dog, I lost Bart last june and was very worried about taking on another boy to replace him, like you no other dog replaces your best friend, but they so help with easing the pain and they are all so unique, we also have a little girl Mersey who was grieving for Bart so our Beau helped us all and he is such a lovely boy. I am sure Ted will be your best pal in no time he looks such a lovely boy. Chris

Congratulations on homing Ted. Hope you will be very happy, which I'm sure you will. I'm owned by a beautiful black bitch called Betty - I should also add spoilt to that as well lol

Hi Dave and Ted
Welcome to the Forum.
I lost my girl Fizz in November, I now have a lovely black girl called Lily who will be at Stifford learning the ropes for the coming round of shows.

Oh oh oh I used to love Teddy Edward! (I shall calm down in a moment) So sorry to hear about Dolly but Ted is a very lucky boy and it is lovely to read that he is settling in so well already - that is fabulous! xxx
