Hi all,
Just wanted to introduce ourselves, we have been browsing the forum for a while and decided to join. We should hopefully have two lovely greyhounds from Elaine soon!
So much inspiration and lovely pics and stories of all you guys with Greyhounds - it's fantastic!
Hope to chat more and if and when we have the greyhounds would love to be involved in the walks and meet everyone!

Hi Ange and Tee Welcome to the forum. Like others have said, people on the forum are very knowledgable and there are walks and lots of fund raisers where you meet such lovely people and their hounds (like today at the Essex County show). Like you I was on the forum before we got our first grey, Brennan. But be warned they are addictive- we now have a second-Nelly
Look forward to hearing about yours when you get them. Sue

Hi Ange & Tee Welcome to the greyhound club, once you own one you will never want another breed. My first greyhound was Bart you can see him in the memories page, he was so special we had him 8 years before we sadly had to say goodbye, but after 4 1/2 years we decided to take Mersey home, she and us missed Bart so much, we now have Beau. They are all such lovely dogs each with their own character and are always making you laugh they are a very special breed that give back so much love. Look forward to hearing more about your lovely family Chris

Hi Ange and Tee Hello and welcome - we have Patrick - he is our second greyhound - and he is a joy. He has lots of relatives on here - half sisters and brothers and it's lovely to meet them at various events. The RGT are a wealth of knowledge in the early days and everyone on here will always offer advice. Good luck with your new addition. Eve

hi ange
prince had just retired from racing that day we took him home, and it was like he knew what retirement was all about and made himself right at home, he was on a 3 months trial to start with, just to give him a chance and on the third day his trainer phoned me up to see how he was doing. and my reply was he was never going to be returned. he was very curious of smaller dogs, cats he never bothers with and traffic a little bit jumpy around buses. but after one yr his character has grown to being more loving and very comical.
i`m not sure what area your from but maybe we can meet up once yours have settled in good luck Diane
