The Cross Keys in Aldeburgh, Suffolk is dog friendly. They also have a fab ice cream shop there (about 32 different flavours!!) and Betty likes the vanilla.................. who says she's spoilt!

One of our Greyhoundhomer friends, has just purchased the Wheatsheaf in Hatfield Peveral, he is shortly to open it up and when he does has invited us and all dogs there.
Going to be completely greyhound friendly, and wants us to hold a show there, they also will have a fenced in field where dogs will be allowed to run, as soon as they are up and running will let everyone know, but at the moment they are in the process of revamping it.

If any of you visit North Devon for a holiday the majority of pubs there do allow dogs in and some will also allow them in eating areas as well. We're going to one this coming Sunday that we've been to before and they're happy to have you, your dogs and feed you. I mentioned that particular pub (The Westleigh Arms) in page one of this thread.

I understand the Wheatsheaf is now open and the food is good. Not sure about the field at the back yet but we're planning to go down there today and will keep you posted.

Did you go to the Pub today? They asked us to do a little show there when they were settled but not seen them down the kennels recently, I guess they are busy settling in.

No, we didn't Alison. Regretably work got in the way. A friend of mine went last and said the chef had only been installed a couple of weeks and the pub has apparently had a bit of a makeover, so it sounds like the field may be a while coming. I did speak to Les and he hoped for it being a month or so, so hopefully won't have to wait much longer. We are def going to check it out anyway so will keep you posted.
