Hi everyone
The jam had been madly popular this year so, for the first time ever, I've run out of fruit until the mega plum, apple and blackberry harvest in August!
Don't despair - I used the summer fruit (and the last of the 2014 blackberries) to make a few special jars to tide us over July:
Easy as ABC: Classic combination of apple, blackcurrant and cassis (blackcurrant liqueur)
Tutti Frutti A fresh blend of seasonal fruit – summer gooseberries and redcurrants from England, peaches from the Mediterranean , mangoes from India and a dash of mango liqueur. Soft set - perfect for stirring into porridge, yogurt, ice-cream...
A hint of honey A tart blend of gooseberries and redcurrants enriched with honey, mead (honey wine) and honey liqueur...
Blackberry Bliss Pure blackberries enhanced with blackberry liqueur and fragranced with rose and violet liqueur - very special...
The alcohol is boiled off during cooking, leaving just a deep flavour that complements the core fruit....
There will be jam at the bake sale, and I have put aside 30 jars for Greyhoundhomer BUT I can't deliver them until w/c 3rd August. If anyone is coming down to Surrey then let me know and I'll give you the boxes to take back!
