I have been looking at the weather forecasts and next Sunday (12/04/2015) is looking good. As long as this happy state exists we will be attending the Carpenters Arms boot sale with Darcy and Roma to promote Greyhoundhomer. Darcy is in intensive training for this seasons events and he has added some new sleeping positions to his repertoire. Roma will be joining in with the fun and will be attempting to perform synchronised sleeping. The boot sale is next to the Carpenters Arms pub in Rayleigh. The postcode is given as SS6 9EY. If anybody would like to come along and talk about greyhounds to folk you would be most welcome.

I'm sorry - got lots of questions! Will you have a boot for selling or are you planning a meet 'n greet? If you're selling stuff and need stock then let me know :-)
What time should we aim for? How will we find you?
I may well come along (depending on the time) - our Ollie's too frail for events now but I have two visiting hounds, one of whom is a total tart, who might enjoy a bit of attention!

Sue
I have only done meet and greets at the two boot sales I did last year. Not having a table lets people see the dogs and gives space for others to come along.
I will be there from 7.00 until it finishes at about 12.00. The nice thing about Carpenters arms is that it is not huge and I found last year a lot of people stopped to talk. The bigger boot sale we went to was huge and people seemed to be in a hurry to cover all the stalls and were not so willing to engage with us. As this is a fairly small event you should be able to see us quite quickly.
The dogs do get a lot of attention so your visiting hound could be competition with Darcy as to who is the biggest tart.

Lovely to see everyone today. It never fails to surprise me how well the dogs get on at events like this. £49 in the bucket and lots of leaflets given out. Thanks to everyone and the dogs of course. Ian

I took a few on my phone to show Henry and Archie's mum how well they were behaving but I thought I'd share because the hounds were all so very good :-)
