We have now had our new boy Patrick 9 and 1/2 weeks. What a delightful sweet little boy he is. The dawn chorus awakes us and then the little hoppy dance moves he makes when breakfast is served, not to mention the windmill tail whipping everything in site when the lead comes out to go walkies with his dad. But best of all - he is loving the cuddles and comfy bed. Daddy Cuddles Afternoon Snooze after Sunday lunch And so to bed.........

Looks like you have landed on your paws with your fab hoomans that is so cool We are both very impressed that you have taught your hoomans to lie on the floor with you and then you sneak up to bed ;D So pleased you have settled in - isn't retired life grand! ;D Love n waggy tails Vinny & Gracie Lu xxxx

To say he is utterly spoiled is an understatement. He still has Daddy Stairlift in operation but otherwise has firmly found his paws and voice! Patrick could sing for England - perhaps I should put him on Britain's Got Talent! lolol. He has his own bed next to ours and last night, husband got up for a trip to the bathroom, I didn't even realise he'd got up and the next moment he was back - saying he couldnt get in the bed. I rolled over and Patrick had hopped on the bed and was flat out, showing his privates to the world and fast asleep. Fast learner that boy!
I am surprised you said he was nervous Mark - he seems to grab every new opportunity with both paws and is becoming a very cheeky chappy. Admittedly the first few days he was a bit bemused by home life but we couldn't be more pleased with the way he has settled.

Admittedly the first few days he was a bit bemused by home life but we couldn't be more pleased with the way he has settled. Oh yes, he was very nervous, initially he would only let the girls catch him to put a lead on and even then it was a bit of an effort, his partner in the Kennel at the time (Minglers Wave) was exactly the same, but they both gradually came round and realised that when someone comes into the kennels it's for good stuff, not bad. We don't have nervous ones in that often, although we've got a couple at the moment (Molly & Lucas), but they all gradually come round and become bolder. I used to have to go into the kennel hut itself to lead up Molly, but now she jumps all over me! LOL

I don't recognise any of those racing names as up for homing now or in recent history. The Molly I mentioned in my other post is Molly Alice.

What lovely photos and what a gorgeous boy he is. He just looks so settled, happy and content :-) It is wonderful to see the change in them isn't it, from when they first come out of kennels, to when they discover what love, fuss, cuddles and being thoroughly spoilt are all about. Well done for giving Patrick the forever home he so deserves :-D
