I am delighted to let you know that we have been able to secure a charity place in the London Marathon in 2015, our 40th Anniversary Year. So we’re looking for someone to raise some significant pounds for hounds by taking part! We know that many of you will have volunteers that are really into running and fundraising, so please can I ask you to circulate this email amongst your supporters and to get anyone who would like to register their interest to email (or phone) Pat as soon as possible - 01708 551 689. We can provide a branded running vest & fundraising materials, as well as promotional support and help with setting up an online fundraising page. Obviously 26.2 miles is no mean feat, so anyone who wishes to take the place will need to be confident that they have the time to dedicate to training. As we have only one place available, there is also a minimum fundraising commitment of £1500 (we will of course help wherever possible with promoting fundraising events etc.). Below is a summary of the key details: Date: Sunday 26 April 2015 Distance: 26.2 miles Minimum fundraising target £1,500 Minimum age: 18 Fitness requirements: Running a marathon is hard work and requires serious dedication. You will need to be reasonably fit to start with and be committed to training. Thanks for your time and I look forward to hearing from some greyhound heroes!
