We are underway and we're taking turns to wear the Homer suit - we've done loads of wving already and we're not at the official 'start' point yet - all very exciting!

Whoo Hoo!!
Indigo Dream passed within yards of the Queen's barge so I saluted her and gave her a deeply respectful bow - while wearing the Homer suit!!
Apparently she smiled, waved and nudged Prince Phillip to look :-)
Whether or not that's picked up by the media I now have a lifetime achievement - saluting the queen while wearing a greyhound costume!
I'm not sure whether we have any photos - it was raining so hard that the camera was soaked!
Today I've been told that I'm a womble, a rat, a mouse, a hamster and, inexplicably, an aadvark - I can only hope that someone somewhere has recognised that I'm a greyhound - it won't be for lack of Sarah shouting at them :-)
Despite the rain, it has been an amazing day on the river - I can only hope that we've done some good for the cause....
We will publish some more photos later - we now have a long wait to lock back into West India Dock - we'll catch up then!

Well done Sue!
We watched the vast majority of the event but didn't see Indigo Dream unfortunately. Did anyone see Sue and canal boat on TV?

Congratulations and very well done Sue & Richard & crew! Indigo Dream looked fab, as did Homer. Despite the horrendous weather, you have some wonderful memories and raised awareness, again. Maybe her Maj will think of having a greyhound next time to accompany her corgis! X

Congratulations to you all. I watched the pageant for an hour or so but became so annoyed at the Beeb's coverage that I gave up before I threw something at the TV. It was a shame that they didn't seem to take much interest in the actual boats that were taking part. At least Homer wasn't at risk from heatstroke!

Totally agree with you Sallyannh. I watched the pagent from start to finish, concentrating hard on the boats only to have the BBC switch to some inane chit chat with little known 'celebrities' which was of little or no consequence. Got really stressed out.
Well done Sue and your 'crew', you did a fantastic job and are now a part of Great British history.
